ABOUT THE ARTIST
Growing up in Atlanta, Georgia an avid photographer, Mary Kelly Stribling Clary's respect for color and composition grew during her time at The Lovett School, where she began to hone in on her love of the arts. Her exploration continued as she went on to pursue higher education at the College of Charleston. Surrounded by the breathtaking landscapes of the South Carolina lowcountry, she studied Arts Management and Studio Art, fine-tuning her vision for a nature-inspired jewelry line.
In the spring of 2008, Mary Kelly returned home to Atlanta and Give a Penny Designs was born. She busied herself filling wholesale and retail orders for boutique locations all over the Southeast, traveling to trunk shows and winning the hearts of fashion blogs and lauded publications like Garden & Gun and Atlanta magazine.
Today, she juggles the demands of being a full-time Mom to two and naptime jewelry designer and photographer, happily nestled in her Atlanta home with her husband, children and dog. Her heart still invested in the creativity and comfort of the design process, her focus remains on the creation of beautiful, one of a kind, handmade pieces, which she still offers online and in select boutique locations.
Give a Penny donates a portion of all trunk show proceeds to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society in honor of her father in law and best friend, who lost his life to the disease many years ago.
